A Message From Ms Shuja. . .
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I am very excited to start my 24th year in education. I have an amazing group of third graders who I love dearly and can't wait to share a fun-filled year with each one of them. This year, I have created a class website in order to have multiple ways of communication between myself and each of my students' families. Please take the time to check it often as I will be updating it throughout the year. In the website, you will find links to blended learning programs such as i-ready, important information and upcoming dates, current curriculum we are working on, as well as parent and student resources, and much more! As always, please feel free to email me message me on ParentSquare if you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns. Thank you for being such a vital part of your child's education.
Best Regards,
Ms. Shuja
Teaching Philosophy . . .
I believe each of our students has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Teaching is a vital and honorable profession that demands dedication and commitment. I have the opportunity to impact students' lives in a positive way. I do not take this privilege lightly.
As a dedicated teacher, I will endeavor to uphold the following:
Ensure that all learning needs are met through personalized learning.
Create a welcoming classroom that is positive and fair, allowing all students to learn from one another and feel safe and comfortable to share their thoughts and ideas.
Ensure deep learning is imparted rather than rote learning and my students are supported in order to make connections to understand relationships.
Foster independent learning
Hold myself accountable to high standards and performance and continually seek improvement in present and future teaching.
In our class, real world problems are solved and each student believes that they can make a difference in this world.
Together, we celebrate each other's success and inspire each other to be the best person that we can be!
Ms. Shuja
Donations
This year, I am requesting items from my Amazon Classroom Wishlist , Amazon Gift Cards, and TPT Gift Cards for classroom donations. Also, I will be asking for a $35 donation from each family to replenish school and classroom items throughout the school year as they are needed. You may also donate these items we always need throughout the school year, such as Lysol/Clorox wipes, white copy paper, Kleenex, and printer ink cartridges. I am so fortunate to have such caring and giving families like you. It will definitely help us throughout the school year!
