Suggested Activities

In addition to the work the teachers have assigned to students, in our effort to support MUSD families during this trying time amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, we have selected some valuable resources to ensure EducatEveryWhere Flexible learning is an enjoyable and successful process for both parent and students.

This list of suggested activities is meant to support our families adjust to the new change of schedule. We will continue to update resources as frequently as it is possible. Our Learning and Development staff will continue to add resources and information regularly, as well as information about how these resources can be used.

Early Childhood

  1. Story Time: 15 minutes per day

  2. Table Time/Learning Activity: 10 minutes

  3. Online Learning Activity: 15 minutes per day

  4. Choice Time/Free Play: 30+ minutes per day

  5. Movement Activity: 30+ minutes per day

  6. Play outside: 30+ minutes per day

  7. Clean Up Time: 10 minutes per day

  8. Family Time: 30+ minutes per day

Physical Activity Log

We encourage students of all ages to create an activity log to track their daily activity. Students can choose activities they find enjoyable (e.g. walk, jog, jumping-jacks etc.). Depending on age, students benefit from different amounts of activities, but at least 30 minutes a day is a good starting point.
