Born and raised in India, I earned my Bachelors in Liberal Studies and Masters in International Politics. After moving to the United States I went to CSU East Bay to get my teaching credential. This is my 20th year teaching 5th and 6th grade. I am very passionate about education and believe in being a lifelong learner. I strive to be the kind of teacher where students are excited to come to class and learn, and to instill a passion for learning mathematics through a fun and exciting classroom where kids enjoy themselves each day while learning difficult concepts. I am positive that when students believe in themselves they can realize their greatest successes.
On a personal note, I love spending time with my family. One of my favorite activity is to watch movies with them. I also like to travel and see the world, meet new people and learn about their culture.
I look forward to working with all the parents this year to help instill a growth mindset and habits of success in each student.
