Hi my name is Janis Drinkwater and I am a first grade teacher here at Burnett Elementary School.

About Me

This is my 28th year of teaching.  I have taught both 1st and 2nd grade.  I began my career in Milpitas at Weller Elementary where I taught first grade for 4 years. I then moved to Burnett and have been here ever since because it is the greatest school to work at!   I live in San Jose with my husband and our 2 boys.  My oldest Is a senior at  CSU Fullerton and my youngest is a senior at MHS.  In January 2021 we got our first puppy!  She is a handful, but Lizzy is a great addition to our family!  In the summer we enjoy traveling, bike riding, hiking and going to Giants games.
