I am currently teaching 5th grade. I am also the school librarian and the 5th grade team lead.

About Me

Professionally:

I've known I wanted to teach since I was 10 years old. I checked out other possible careers, but always came back to teaching because I love children and learning new things. I graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in Liberal Studies, a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. I went on to get my Master's Degree in Reading and have a Reading Specialist Credential in addition to my Teaching Credential. I've taught at Sinnott for 20 years and have truly enjoyed my time here. I have a fantastic group of kids coming in and look forward to every new school year and getting to know more kids. 

Personally:

I am married to the most amazing man on the planet, named Patrick, and have three awesome kids named Isla, Leo, and Scarlet. I love spending time with them and my extended family. In my spare time... oh, wait, I'm a mom of three young children - I have no spare time :) Just kidding. When I do catch a spare moment, I like to read, go hiking, take road trips (with my family, of course), and dance in the living room. I also like to dig in the dirt and I'm pretty successful at growing all plants, except azaleas (don't ask me why). I have four cats, one dog, and several strays I feed currently. I am determined to become that crazy cat lady you hear about on the news by the time I'm 75 years old :) I truly enjoy life and have many blessings to be thankful for. I'm looking forward to what the future brings and whatever adventures come my way.
