I am a teacher by profession, and currently hold a lecturing position in the Department of Mathematics at Muni University (Arua-Uganda). I completed my BSc with education and MMath from Makerere University, an advanced PGD from the Abdus Salam ICTP and PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
My research is mainly focused on Nonlinear dynamical systems, where I largely perform numerical investigations on evolutions. My recent works have involved the study of Hamiltonian systems, disordered systems, symplectic integrators and multidimensional lattice models. The desire to improve my quality of teaching has led me into research on Mathematics education (technology and data). As a forum for training, mentoring and sharing about research work, I started up a group for Dynamical Systems.
Profession-wise, my career kicked off as a teacher of Mathematics at Makerere College School. Since then, I have worked with Uganda Christian University, Uganda Martyrs University, University of Cape Town and Maskew Miller Learning (Formerly, Pearson South Africa) .
