Intro

Prince Andrew, Duke of York and 9th in line for the British throne, is facing charges of sex trafficking with a large connection to the Epstein controversy, that of Jeffrey Epstein’s major sex trafficking scandal.. Following Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction, the Prince got out on bail and went into hiding. However, it seems that there is not a lot of hope for Prince Andrew to come out unscathed if at all.

What Happened?

Prince Andrew was accused of raping a teenager in 2001, and it was stated that the case would go forward in 2019, shattering his reputation. He also has a proven connection with Jeffrey Epstien who was a known sex offender and human trafficker. Virginia Giuffre, the accuser, made the claims that Jeffrey trafficked her to Prince Andrew. After Ghisliane Maxwell, partner to Epstien, was convicted for similar charges and connections to Epstien and Prince Andrew, it is now Andrew’s turn to go on trial.

Consequences

Prince Andrew is being strippedof many of his military titles including his HRH (His Royal Highness) titles and many people speculate that he may lose his royal titles if he is convicted. He has also lost his military and royal links.

Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey was a sex trafficker with multiple charges against him. He served merely 13 months in prison with work release, which meant that he was allowed to leave up to 16 hours per day. In 2019, his house was searched and court documents show that he was attempting to bring 40 underaged girls to his mansion to sexually assault them. After this investigation he ended up hanging himself while in prison, leaving behind a huge case with major connections to Ghislaine Maxwell.

Interview

In an interview Prince Andrew stated that he had no recollection of meeting the victim, Ms. Giuffre and Prince Andrew tried to deny all the accusations against him. Prince Andrew continues to defend himself throughout the entire case.

Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of sexual abuse, grooming and sex trafficking. She is calling for a retrial because the judge was sexually assaulted and therefore could not be 100% unbiased. Unfortunately if the retrial goes through the witness, who will remain anonymous, stated that they may not be willing to testify. Ghislaine has groomed many of her sex trafficking victims and through a small technicality may be able to get out of her many charges, claiming to be a victim in her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Conclusion

The Royal Family in England is now the center of one of the largest scandals in its history. Prince Andrew is facing extreme controversy and backlash as well as many charges of sexual assault, rape and a connection to sex trafficking and grooming. It seems next to impossible for the Royal family to survive unscathed, whilst maintaining the respect they once had.
