Every day, someone is trying to make a difference or is making a difference. One of the main issues that people have been fighting for, for decades, is equality between women and men. Making the same profit, not being told that girls are weaker than boys, and many other stereotypical sayings. One scene in the movie Mamma Mia helped make a big difference in the inequality between genders issue. The photo below is a part of this scene.

The scene is when Donna (Meryl Streep) and her two best friends Tanya (Christine Baranski) and Rosie (Julie Walters) are dancing and singing the song “Dancing Queen” by the famous 70s band ABBA. As they continue to sing this song, many women notice they are singing the song, and the women join Donna and her friends. When they reach the sea, there are hundreds of women. At the end of the scene, all of the women jump into the water.
This scene is working around the metaphor, “many people can make a difference and solve a problem.” This scene is making a difference by getting multiple women together and showing that when you put your mind to something and ask people to come to help you, you can get many voices to become one big voice.
