Get Involved at MHS

CLubs, Activities, and Sports at MHS

Muhlenberg High School offers students a variety of clubs and activities to get involved with.  "Participation in extracurricular activities in general, is associated with an improved grade point average, higher educational aspirations, increased college attendance, and reduced absenteeism” (Fujita).

Take a look at what MHS has to offer you.  If you have further questions, please see the advisor listed below.

Citizenship and character education, the heart of the curriculum program, is primarily embedded in the leadership education series of courses. To reinforce what is taught in the classroom, students participate in many outside activities such as field trips to military bases, aerospace facilities and industries, museums, and other areas related to aerospace education.

Anime Club

In the past, it has been a club where students came together over a love of all things Anime. This year, I (Mr. Vallone) would like the club to create an original Manga. Yes, I know, it is anime club, not manga club, but I think this is a good start toward the ultimate goal of MAYBE making our own Anime (next year?). So to bring our own manga to life, we will need students that want to collaborate on drawing, writing story lines, or just want to help create a manga in any way they can.

Posters announcing the first meeting should be posted in the halls in the first few weeks of school announcing our first meeting. If you have questions, please see me, Mr. Vallone, in A220.

spring musical

stage crew

The High School's stage crew offers a variety of ways for getting involved. We are responsible for any and all events that occur in our Auditorium. For example, we provide lighting and sound for meetings, concerts, and ceremonies. We also spend a significant amount of time constructing and running the school's musical production. We try to work during study halls and muhltime, however most of our events occur in the evening. If you have an interest in art, sound management, theatrical lighting, set design or construction, or just want to try something different we may be the place for you. Everyone has something to offer and we work around virtually all schedules.
