Open OnShape.
Create a new document, "Key Chain."
Hide the Front and Right views, so you only see the Top plane.
Use the "Naviagation Cube" to select the top view.
Select "Sketch," and the click on the Top plane (it will have an orange border.)
Draw a shape: rectangle 3"x1".
Add a 1" diameter circle centered on every corner.
Use the Trim tool to eliminate overlapping lines.
Click the "Extrude" button. Select the shape you just drew. Make it .25 inches thick.
Click the green check mark.
Select "Sketch," and the click on the top of your shape (it will have an orange border.)
Select the "Text" tool. Draw a text box on your shape.
Write your name, nick name, etc. You decide! (Keep it appropriate.)
Use the dimension tool to resize the text to fit your shape. (Click on the dimension tool. Click on one edge of the text box. Move your cursor to click on the opposite side of the text box. Pull up or down to see the measurement. Click again. Change the number to make it fit your shape.)
Click the "Extrude" button. Select the text you just added. Make it .125 inches thick. You are adding material.
Check your isometric view to make sure it is right.
Use the "Navigation Cube" to select the top view.
Click the green check mark.
Select "Sketch," and then click on the top of your shape.
Somewhere near the edge of your shape, draw a small circle.
Click the "Extrude" button. Select the circle you just added. Change the setting to Remove. Set the value to .25 inches.
Create a multi-view drawing and turn it in.
