FLIGHT TEST (from chapter 21 & 22) STEAM CHALLENGE:

Your task is to build a paper airplane using ONLY the supplies listed below and see how long the plane can fly! Remember the longer the better! That is how Kyle and his team won! Good luck! If you do participate in this challenge send Ms. O'Reilly an email with a picture of your paper plane at moreilly@mtsinai.k12.ny.us - I will post them here for everyone to see!

SUPPLIES:

One sheet of paper (8 1/2 by 11)

One standard paper clip

Three inches of tape

One plastic bag containing a dollop of glue

3 staples

ALL ABOUT THE DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEM!

A lot of the challenges in Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics have to do with the Dewey Decimal system, which is the numbers one the spine of NON-FICTION books that helps us organize and find them! In our school library we have DEWEY DOTS that also help us with this system! Below is a cool graph that shows us what each number means and what category it represents and some activities to help you practice!
