Epic is free for teacher and students to use Monday - Friday from 7 am - 3 pm

Step #1Â Login or Create an Account
Go to https://www.getepic.comÂ
Login to your existing account
ORÂ
Set up a new account:
Click GET STARTED and follow the on screen instructions
Once you get to the screen where you set up your account, choose the ‘Educator Sign up with Google’ and use your Mt Sinai Google account
Step #2Â Create your Roster
Click MY STUDENTS (at the top)
Click the ADD STUDENTS button
You can type in your roster or choose to import from Google Classroom
Step #3Â Find and Assign Books
Go to the EXPLORE button
Find the book that you want and click ASSIGN
Assign to your whole class or individual students
Once students login to Epic using your class code, they will click the MAILBOX to see your assigned book
Step #4Â How do Students Access Epic?
On Chromebooks, students can SEARCH for the Epic app.
Once opened, they will be prompted to type in your 'class code'.
They will now be connected to your class and can select their name to begin.
Remember students can only access the school account from 7 am - 3 pm.

Go to the EXPLORE - choose LANGUAGES - choose from Chinese, French or Spanish
You can choose from books, videos, read-to-me, and more.
Epic Quizzes
Search for books with a quiz:
Go to the SEARCH bar and type in the topic you want to read about. Â
Then, click the QUIZ button at the top to only to show books with quizzes.
Make your own quiz:
Open a book or video and click on the question mark icon at the top
Create your questions and answersÂ
Click Publish
Find and Assign Collections
All collections are stored in the MY LIBRARY button at the top
Go to the EXPLORE button
Find the books, videos, etc. that you want and click the HEART button for each one to add it to a collection
You can add to an existing collection or create a new one
You can assign the collection from MY LIBRARY - COLLECTIONS & ASSIGNMENTS
Read to Me & Dictionary LookupÂ
Read to Me books can be read aloud to your students. Students just need to press the PLAY button.
Dictionary Lookup allows students to select a word to hear the definition.
Summer Access 🌞
Epic School is permitted between 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday on days school is in session. Luckily, this includes summer school!Â

Epic Free for Parents
When parents sign up for an Epic Free account using their email addresses, their kids can access a limited selection of Epic books with two free hours of reading per week. Once you setup your roster you can choose the 'Invite Families' found on the Epic homepage.
