Birthday Books!
Birthdays are very important in our classroom! We like to celebrate them and we hope that you will be able to join us in the celebration. Here in room 128, we celebrate your child's birthday by reading a special "birthday book". A family member or special visitor may join our class to read a book of your child's choice. This focuses the celebration around the child and his and her guest(s) while creating a very important literacy experience for the class.

After the book is read, all of the students from the class may sign the book and it will be held in our classroom library for students to read for the remainder of the year. At the end of the school year, each child will bring home his or her "birthday book" to keep. What a wonderful keepsake!

Please contact us at least a week before you'd like to come into school to celebrate so an appropriate time can be scheduled into our day! We look forward to sharing your child's special day!
