I am so excited to be teaching general music for my 5th year in MTSD! My first three years I taught part-time at Wilson Elementary, last year I taught at Oriole Lane full-time, and this year I am back at Wilson. I am at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I will be teaching 4 sections of 4K, 2 sections of 5K, 1 section of 1st grade, and 2 sections of 3rd grade.

My goal is to help students develop their musical knowledge and skills through singing, instrument playing, moving and listening, creating music, and working with others. I also want my students to leave my room with a lifelong love of music and an understanding of the importance of kindness, hard work, persistence, and doing your best no matter what.

I have a Bachelor of Musical Arts in music theory and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan, a Master's of Education in school psychology from the University of North Carolina, and an elementary education license from Alverno College. In addition, I also hold a general music education license from the Wisconsin Department of Instruction.

Before working at Wilson, I taught 4K-8 general music at Divine Mercy Catholic School in South Milwaukee and taught 4K in the Hartford Jt. 1 School District. I have also worked at Hal Leonard Music Corporation in Milwaukee as an editor in their piano department.
