Ms. Gunn

Welcome, my name is Michelle Gunn.  I find teaching first grade extremely rewarding, and I can not wait to continue this journey with your first grader. 

     To begin my education career, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa in Elementary Education.  I also earned my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading emphasis at Loyola University-Chicago.  

     Before moving to Mequon, I taught first grade in the Chicago area for four years. My husband and I have two children who attended school in the district.   My older son is starting his first year teaching 2nd grade in New Lisbon. My younger son is starting his freshman year at UW-Milwaukee and is majoring in architecture. 

   I strive to create a positive learning environment in which every child is engaged and challenged.  I set high expectations for all of my students and support their learning to ensure they are successful.  My goal is for every child to enjoy learning and to flourish in our classroom.
