A Nightclub Reimagined

AUX is a visual experience nightclub and lounge that gives users a space to celebrate the facets of electronic dance music (EDM) without the obligation of attending a rave. The space offers a bar & lounge late night food space, as well as 3 unique experience spaces that celebrate different sub genres of the music. In this way, AUX gives users complete control over their level of integration into the space, experience, and crowd with hopes to bring more introverted individuals out to enjoy the musical experience. The bar & lounge acts as a leveler, giving users a space to relax and dine with old and new friends both before, during, and after club hours. AUX celebrated the value of the visual experience along with the musical, including digital screens for experience enhancement throughout each sub genre room. This immersion aims to eliminate the desire for users to use psychedelics that can be common throughout the EDM scene. To continue this celebration, AUX acts as a rental space during daytime hours to those practicing or learning both visual and musical techniques in EDM. The space may also be rented out for various shows and art exhibits outside of AUX hours.

Main Floor

Main Floor Entrance & Elevator Lobby

Bar & Lounge - The Leveler

The Bar & Lounge uses to colour changing LEDs to excite users at the beginning of the night, and relax them at the end. This space serves pub-style food all night long, extending hours past the rest of the clubs closing times to give users a space to grab some food with friends and wind down. This space uniquely allows users to connect and meet after a night of dancing, deepening connections and creating a sense of community through EDM. The large placeholder leaf imagery shows what type of visual may be shown along these large screens to enhance user experience.

Mainstage

The Mainstage is the largest experience space in AUX, boasting a near 30' ceiling as well as a stage for live performances by artists. This space is closest to a common rave or festival experience, and offers users a space to enjoy a largescale live show. The placeholder images in the ceiling, and on the wall planes act to demonstrate the type of visuals that may be projected within this space. The custom acrylic LED lit crystal light fixtures can be seen "growing" out of the ceiling plane.

The Cloud

The Cloud is a micro dream state bar & lounge that centers around more relaxed genres of EDM such as chillstep, lo-fi, synthwave, downtempo, future synth, and more. This space fits those looking to relax with friends for a while or those less comfortable with the more upbeat spaces. Each of the cloud images in the circular "windows" acts as a placeholder to the type of visuals that would be projected on the circular screens. The large circular indent in the ceiling plane acts as a screen as well. This fully immerses users in the experience.

The Industrial Room

The Industrial Room is a space unfit for the faint of heart. This space celebrates hardcore genres, with a focus on trap and industrial. The space is the most aggressive and intimidating in AUX. The placeholder images on the screens above the dance floor and on the back wall of the dance floor show the type of visual that may be shown here. These screens also exist above each booth on the ceiling plane.

Step colours begin to change to mimic the second floor lobby while back lit mesh ceiling drop down panels parallel them. Mirrored pieces drop down to begin covering the walls, making the user feel the transition from one world to the next.

The feature staircase between the floors transitions users from one experience to the next, encouraging them to explore the several spaces within AUX.
