Mission, Vision & Goals

Mission Statement

The MHS Media Center seeks to provide both space and opportunities

to develop information literacy and critical thinking skills,

create programs to enrich and support the MHS curriculum,

identify and promote authentic technology integration,

and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Vision Statement

The MHS Media Center will create an environment to empower students

to acquire, evaluate, and ethically use information and technology,

promote collaboration, encourage recreational reading,

and design learning experiences that support district goals and objectives

in order for them to become productive citizens in a global society.

Goals

The MHS Media Center will be an intellectual and collaborative space

with vetted scholarly resources and current digital technology,

where staff and students gather ideas, exchange knowledge, learn together,

and lifelong love of reading is cultivated and treasured.
