A few things about me....
I have three young children. I love baseball! I love to play it. I love to watch it. I love to research random facts about it. I love how it reminds me of my grandfather's love of the game. I love that it involves a deep care and love for statistics. I play fantasy baseball and use my love of math while playing. Yes I love lots of other sports too, but Baseball trumps all other sports!
I also love problem solving and building. If it's a home project or furniture refinishing, I can be found in Home Depot or the hardware store using math to plan my projects. Some of things I have refinished include two kitchen tables, a dresser and an end table, and my office desk. I've built a double bed frame, an octagonal sandbox, an outdoor work bench, and in the past have built a trebuchet to compete in the Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin festival. I use logical thinking in all I do and I find that to be the framework of mathematics.
