There are four educators in my family. My aunt was a special education teacher in Green Bay, WI for 40 years. Two of my older sisters are teachers, and then there's me. My mom is quick to share that she's surrounded by educators; all these daughters and not a single nurse. She was a pediatric nurse for 37 years, and although I don't have RN attached to my name, I feel like I wear that hat some days. If you can't tell by that darling photo to the left, I have loved school since day one. This is partly due to watching my five older siblings attend school long before I ever could, but it's mostly the result of all the phenomenal teachers I've been blessed to have in my life. I hope to inspire students like so many teachers inspired me.
These are my nephews, Tommy and Paul. It is a privilege to watch them grow and discover their individual passions. I love being their Boppy.
I am a proud Michigander. I was born and raised in Petoskey and consider myself part Yooper (if you know, you know). I enjoy exploring all areas of our great state.
Aside from teaching, being a Girls on the Run coach is one of my greatest passions. I enjoy building relationships with some of my students outside of the classroom. We look forward to the community project and 5k every season.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy skiing and golfing. I have a golden-doodle named Lola and she's the hippest pup around. I am a Great Lakes girl through and through, and appreciate the water in any season.
