Welcome

I am an assistant professor at Michigan State University, and I currently hold the Van Haften Chair in Deductive Literacy. My research is on algebraic geometry and its connections to symplectic geometry and number theory. I am particularly fond of Calabi-Yau varieties and their moduli spaces.

My thesis advisor was Jun Li at Stanford University. Since then, I spent three years at the Simons Center in Stony Brook University, one year at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, and one semester at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
