Heuristic & Phenomenological Research Methods
One of the great legacies of our school's co-founder and president emeritus, Dr. Clark Moustakas, is his contribution to qualitative research. Dr. Moustakas developed and published on two research methods: heuristic research and phenomenological research. Both methods continue to be taught in the MSP curriculum and have been widely adopted by MSP doctoral students in their dissertation research.
