What is Digital Citizenship?

Being a digital citizen can be summed up by thinking about choices users make online and how they impact the entire online community. Every online decision matters. Every online action is traced. With knowing those things, does it change how you utilize technology? It should.

What's this all about?

At MSD of Steuben County, we are committed to students using their technology resources responsibly. This page is built to lead educators to a set of resources that can be of great assistance to you as you integrate technology and creating responsible users for the future.

Ain't nobody got time fo' dat

Yes, it may seem like another thing on your plate, but investing in the digital future of students is two-fold:

  1. It is part of the computer science standards distributed by the IDOE under Impact and Culture.

  2. Your investment will pay dividends. Students learn best as a community. A digital community is included. Invest in the implementation of digital citizenship in your classroom in the midst of those digital experiences and it will make the learning experience better for the entire class.
