MES Librarian

Biography

I am the librarian at Mascoutah Elementary School. I grew up in New England where I spent my free time reading, horseback riding, and skiing. After earning an undergraduate degree in Library Media Technology and General Studies from the University of Maine, I headed to Simmons College in Boston for a Masters of Science in Library Science. Upon graduation my husband and I moved to Vermont, where I was the librarian at Woodstock Union Jr/Sr High School. In 1988, when my husband joined the Air Force, I took time off from working to be a mother and military spouse. In the Air Force we moved between Maine, Okinawa (Japan), Colorado, and Texas. In 2006, I joined the MES family as the first librarian in the new library media center.
