January Deadlines

Submit application between Jan. 1-March 31, 2019

If you are a female student interested in a construction-related career path including construction management, construction technology, civil engineering, architecture, design, and any other trade, you are eligible to apply.

Requirements: 3.0 GPA, essay, financial need, transcript submission

This scholarship this year will award (40) $1500 one year scholarships. Students must be graduating at the end of the 2018-2019 school year with at least a 3.0. Student must submit an essay entitled "The Tuskegee Airmen" which reflects their overall history and how their experience has impacted the applicant personally. There are some additional requirements.

$1500 to one male and one female athlete

The PAF Student Scholarship is designed for a high school athlete who intends to attend a university, college, or two-year institution that does not provide athletic scholarships. The Scholarship rewards high school athletes for their non-athletic achievements and assists them in achieving their career goals. The Professional Athletes Foundation Student Scholarship Program is administered by the St. Louis Former Players Chapter of the National Football League Players Association. A $2500 scholarship is available for one male and one female student-athlete who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership skills, and strong promise for career goals.

This scholarship rewards outstanding academic achievement and school/community involvement to eligible US military members' dependents and spouses, of any rank. Scholarship awards will be presented to local graduating military dependent high school seniors and local military spouses.

Requirements: Must be a graduating senior going into a field of study related to financial/resource management including Accounting and Finance, Administrative Support, Auditing, Budgeting, Comptrollership, Cost Analysis, Financial Management, Management Analysis, Program Analysis, Resource Management, Statistics, and could be others.

Student must have two letters of recommendation, and include a transcript, test score, and college acceptance letter. Student must also list extra curricular activities in the format provided within the application. The basis for the award will be financial need, scholarship achievements, leadership ability, career and academic goals, along with extra curricular activities.

The SWIC Foundation has over 250 scholarships to give to students attending SWIC next year. This is nearly $300, 000 in scholarships to deserving students. The priority deadline is March 1, but you still can apply after this date.

Several Scholarships will be given

The Township Officials of IL will award scholarships to graduating seniors with a minimum GPA or 3.0/4.0 scale. To be eligible, students must be US citizens, a resident of IL, and submit a 500 word essay on "The Role of Township Government in Today's society and in the Future". The application requires a transcript, letters of recommendation, and additional materials.

(2) $500 Scholarships for MHS students

If your family is a part of the Clinton County Electric Cooperative and you are planning on enrolling in a 2 year or 4 year college next year, you are eligible for this scholarship. Submit the attached application to Ms. Frey by the deadline. Children of Clinton County Electric Coop employees are not eligible to apply.

Students must submit a one page letter of application. An ACT or SAT test score must be provided along with an acceptance letter from a college. Student must write an essay (not more than 250 words) stating where they expect to be 5 years after completing high school or trade school. Click the link for the application.

MPBA will be offering two $1000 scholarships to members of the 2019 MHS graduating class. In addition to filling out the application, applicants must be accepted into a college or university for next school year, must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, submit a 500-700 word essay, and provide two references.

The Scott Field Post will sponsor multiple 1-time scholarships of $1000-$2000 this year. The individuals selected for this scholarship must show both academic excellence and involvement in the community. A minimum 2.5 GPA must be met as well as demonstrate financial need (qualify for free or reduced lunch). The objective is to sponsor academic and need based scholarships to students who excel in math, science and technology courses with an interest in pursuing degrees in science, technology, or engineering.

The VFW Post 7682 Ladies Auxiliary announces the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Awards. This competition encourages students to use their artistic talents to express their patriotism.

    1. Art must be on paper or canvas.
    2. Do Not Frame!
    3. Package art so that it may be mailed without damage.
    4. If you use the American Flag, it must conform to the Federal Flag Code as far as color, number of Stars and Stripes, and other pertinent rules of code.
    5. Students grade 9-12 are able to apply.

This scholarship is offering (5) $1000 scholarships to students attending Mascoutah, Wesclin, Carlyle, Central or Mater Dei High School. Student must be planning to attend SLU, Washington University, Ranken Tech, or any other 2/4 year university in the St. Louis Metropolitan area or area south if Interstate 80 in IL. The New Baden Chamber of Commerce is offering a scholarship to a student receiving a diploma from Mascoutah, New Baden, or Wesclin. Student must be graduating in 2019, have an address with zip code of 62265 or 62266, and complete the application which includes an essay. Bradley R. Smith grew up in Troy, IL and was involved in many activities, including Football. He graduated from Triad High School in 2004. After attending SIU-E for a short while, he joined the Air Force where he served as a JTAC in the Special Operations Department. Senior Airman Smith was killed in action in Afghanistan on January 3, 2010. This scholarship honors the memory of Brad and his live of Troy and the surrounding Metro East communities and his desire to continue his education.

P. G. Porter Lodge No 142 (PHA), Scott Air Force Base provides a scholarship for a graduating senior attending college or technical school next year. An acceptance letter, two letters of recommendation, a current transcript, a photo, and a brief essay are required.

This scholarship will be awarded to a MHS graduating senior who intends to pursue a college degree in any field. Funding will be send directly to the student once enrollment is validated by the student. Incomplete applicants will be disqualified. The requirements include a typed 200-300 word essay on "Your Expectations form a Community Bank", a current transcript, and two character references. The scholarship committee may request an interview with the final candidates.

Mascoutah Evening Lions is offering (2) $1000 scholarships this year. Mascoutah Evening Lions offers scholarships to students who are not receiving a lot of other financial assistance. Minimum GPA 2.5. Winner must present verification of school enrollment to be issued the check. Recipient may use money for any school expenses.

This scholarship is for a MHS graduating senior who has been a member of FFA for the last 4 years. Student must have a 2.0 GPA and must show proof of admission to a 2 year or 4 year college. This scholarship will be given out at the annual FFA Banquet at the end of the year.

This scholarship is for one male and one female MHS student. Admission to a 2 year or 4 year university or trade/vocational school is required. Applicant must complete the application, attach an unofficial transcript, include a resume and letter of admission to college, and write a 300 word essay.

This scholarship is open to Mascoutah High School seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher who has been admitted into a college or university for next year. The application process includes a one page resume detailing your 5 most notable academic and extracurricular achievements, a 500 word essay describing your career goals, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher. The MEA will be awarding (3) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. Student must have at least a 2.5 GPA, submit the application along with the essay and college acceptance letter.

This year the New Baden Lions Club will proved a number of $1000 scholarships to students who will be attending an accredited college in the fall. To qualify, a student must be graduating in 2019, have a diploma from Mascoutah, Mater Dei, or Wesclin and have a mailing address of New Baden, New Memphis, or Trenton. Monetary need is a requirement as well as a written statement including specific items listed in the application.

This scholarship is for graduating seniors who live in St. Clair County that have chosen to pursue a health-related field of study. Student must be attending an IL or MO institution, including junior colleges or 4 year universities. Guidelines for the program and criteria for selection of the recipients are included within the application packet.

Applicant must be a US Citizen who will be a Mascoutah High School graduate (or GED) who also will be attending a trade school, college or university next year. Applicant must write a 200-300 word essay stating future plans and goals. A copy of a high school transcript or GED must also be attached with the application. This scholarship is for seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA whose parent or guardian is a member of the Mascoutah Athletic Booster Club. Student must be enrolled full time senior year and have participated in an athletic season two of the four years of high school. An essay must be submitted along with the application.

(3) $1000 Scholarships

This firm is offering three scholarships to seniors pursuing a degree as an attorney to students attending a high school in St. Clair, Madison, and Washington County. Applicant must also have a 3.0 GPA, be in the upper 25% of their high school class, be involved in school activities such as student government, debate, or model US, and have an ACT of at least 26 or SAT of at least 1180.

This one time scholarship will be awarded to a MHS graduating senior. Requirements include a 200-300 word essay on the topic "The Significance of Small Business in Today's Economy", along with the completed application, current transcript, and two letters of recommendation for character references. A scholarship interview will be required.

This Multicultural Scholarship Program is a competitive award granted to a high school senior who is committed to cultural awareness, academic success, community involvement, service, and leadership. Student must be a high school senior with at least a 2.0 GPA (include transcript), include two letters of recommendation, and an essay between 150-200 essay. This program provides scholarships to eligible St. Clair County residents who desire to continue their educational endeavors and demonstrate financial need.     1. Applicant must be a child, stepchild, grandchild or step-grandchild of a US Service Member or veteran belonging to any VFW post or an auxiliary
