The academic calendar contains all of the important dates you will need for each semester.
Below, you will learn a few terms related to the dates listed on the academic calendar.
Add
The add period is the time in which students can register for an additional course or change their registration to a different course or course section. This includes going from online to in-class and vice-versa.
Drop
The drop period is also called the full-refund period. When you deregister a class in the drop period, you will not be charged for the course and it does not appear on your transcript.
Withdraw
After the drop period ends, deregistering a course is considered a withdrawal. Students are still charged for withdrawn courses and they appear on your transcript as a GPA-neutral W.

8-week, 16-week, and intersession courses have different ADW periods. The dates for each can be found on the academic calendar.
There are two types of withdrawal, automatic-W and instructor evaluation.
Auto-W means that a student automatically receives a grade of W when a withdrawal is requested.
Instructor eval means that when a student requests a withdrawal, the instructor must evaluate the request and assign a grade of W, AW, or F for the course.
Students who do not submit an assignment by the last day of the drop period will be automatically dropped from the class.
Withdrawal may affect concurrent high school students' federal financial aid and OK Promise eligibility after high school graduation.
Registration changes, including adds, drops, and withdrawals, can be completed by the student in Aggies Online in the Plan & Schedule screen. It is recommended that you visit with your financial aid advisor before dropping or withdrawing from a class.
