CES conducts SDG training and workshop
The College of Environmental Studies recently led an SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) training and workshop themed #๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฆ๐๐ Education for Sustainable Development Towards Transformative and Green Education at the Marinduque State University Audio Visual Room.
The registration just took place, and the venue was buzzing with enthusiasm as faculty and students from the Environmental Science department arrived. As participants settled into their seats, the event kicked off on a positive note with the preliminaries. CES Dean Dr. Evangeline Mandia opened the proceedings with thoughtful remarks that established a collaborative tone for the day. Following her address, CES Program Head Mr. Ronnel Nolos shared encouraging insights and introduced the guest speaker. As the event progressed, guest speaker Asst. Prof. Maricel Elorde took the opportunity to provide insightful commentary and deepen our understanding of the central theme, enriching the overall experience for all attendees.ย
She emphasized the vitality of green educationโa shared goal of the College of Environmental Studies, to the growing community of Marinduque State University. She was then handed a certificate of appreciation and a souvenir to reminisce about her time in the community. Moreover, to gratify the esteemed speaker, ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ต๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จโa known cultural practice in the province, was performed. Mr. Ronnel Nolos was also invited to be "๐ฎ๐ข๐ฑ๐ถ๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐ฏ" as the event was conducted before his birthday.ย
In continuation of the activities, 17 students were picked and took oath as the upcoming SDG ambassadors who were tasked with specific goals relative to their designated SDG assignment.ย
To formally conclude the event, the Research and Extension coordinator, Mr. Russel Rabi carried off with the closing remarks which were preceded by a photo opportunity with the speaker, faculties, and students
