Mobil Food pantry

Activity: Mobile Food Pantry 

Date:  April 17th 2025 is the next event and continues all year, every other Thursday April 3rd, April 17th and so on all year. 

Time: Set up begins at 12 noon or when the truck arrives, to be ready to pass out food by 12:30 and continues till 1:30 then 15 minutes clean up the venue. 

Location: Our Lady of Fatima Church parking lot at 2071 Baldwin Street Waterbury, CT 

Volunteer requests: We need 10 to 14 volunteers who will be setting up 6 tables, putting the boxes of food from the truck on the tables, and passing out the number of items to the participants which the driver will announce to us before we start passing out the food items restacking empty boxes back on the truck. 

Additional info: Food Insecurity relief for the public and we encourage our veterans to take advantage of the free groceries. No registration or signup required . Participants will receive a number as they arrive. 

Dress comfortably for the weather. Bilingual volunteers would be helpful. All volunteers will also be able to also receive some food items based on availability. There is separate designated parking for volunteers and participants. You can arrive as early as 11:30. If there is bad weather we may have to cancel for everyone's safety.
