Getting to know one another with index card towers! For every characteristic they shared as a group, they used an index card to build a tower. It turns out we all have a lot in common. This was a Fun get-to-know activity and had a little bit of STEAM engagement too! Let's Make Squares challenged them to learn the value of good communication. Students had to first build something together without communicating at all. Turns out, communicating works a lot better!
One of the greatest things about 5A is the student ownership and the role that they take in making the year a great one. We have several committees that help make our room a better place to be.
