Picking up medication from
the health room.
The school will not store any medications over the summer break. If your student has any medication/s in the health room, it will be sent home with students during the last few weeks of the school year. Any medication needs to be picked before the end of the school day on May 31, 2018. Any prescribed medication that is not picked up by this time will be appropriately discarded. If you have any questions, please contact the health room staff at your student’s school
DECA International Career Development Conference
Over 19,000 students from 10 countries were in attendance.
The Patriots brought 31 competitors and eight leadership Juniors and Seniors
to this competition. 80% (25 of the 31) of the Patriot competitors placed Top 20%.
2018 National Spanish Exam
Congratulations to several Spanish students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2018 National Spanish Examinations!
Free Summer Feeding Program
This Free Summer Feeding program is hosted annually in Millard. The sites for this summer will be at Holling Heights Elementary and Millard South High School.
This program is open to any child under the age 18. There is no paperwork required and they do not have to be a resident in the district to receive a free breakfast or lunch. Available again this year are free parent meals, any adult that accompanies a child is eligible for a free meal. The student meals are supported by a federal program through the USDA and the parent meals are funded by a grant from Food Bank for the Heartland.

Staff Extra Mile Award
Parents, students or school employees may nominate a Millard South staff member for this award. Those nominated must go above and beyond what would be expected. Nominations can be submitted by clicking on the link below and is also on the Millard South website. Please tell why this person deserves this award. Give examples of how the individual goes above and beyond his or her normal duties. Awards are presented at the end of the school year.
Tim Leuschen has been named Millard Public Schools High School Teacher of the Year. He will be honored at the MPS Foundation Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday, May 11.
Michelle Klug has been named the Nebraska ACT College and Career Readiness K-12 Champion. Michelle does a phenomenal job with our ACT Culture.
Steve Throne was named Assistant Principal of the Year for the NSASSP Region II. Steve is very deserving of this award.
