Special Service Project

Haley Dougherty & Jay Bohlen

Haley Dougherty and Jay Bohlen donated 700 pairs of eye glasses to the Lions Club. They spent months getting the word out that eye glasses were needed, and then spent numerous hours driving around collecting up the glasses and preparing them for the Lions Club. The glasses will be marked with the prescription, repaired if needed and cleaned up. They will then be taken to 3rd world counties by physicians and given to kids and adults in needs. Some of the people that receive glasses have never had an eye exam or the care that makes it necessary to lead a productive life. They are truly making a difference in so many lives.

Click here for more on these and other students and another one of their awesome service projects.
