Rohwer Families,

Thank you all for such a great start to the school year.  Our students have been learning routines and procedures as well as developing relationships with peers and teachers.  It has been wonderful having students back in the building.

The school building opens at 8:15.  There is no supervision outside of the building before this time.  For the safety of students, it is best to avoid dropping students off before 8:15.

It takes some time at the beginning of the school year to keep the traffic flowing at school.   Your patience is greatly appreciated when traffic is congested.  Parents can help our arrival and dismissal run smoother by:

- Staying in your vehicle along the curb during pick-up/drop-off.

- Students should enter and exit the vehicle through the passenger side doors.  (Do you have a car seat that is blocking students from exiting on the passenger side?)

- We utilize multiple pick-up/drop-off locations.  Please look at the map below to find your assigned zone for pick-up/drop-off.

- If your student is a normal bus rider home from school, and they won't be riding, contact the office (402.715.6225 or sjdawson@mpsomaha.org) to be removed from the bus check-off list for that day.

We will hold off on having visitors for lunch until after Labor Day.  This provides us some time to teach and review lunch room expectations.  We will communicate with you when visitors can start to have lunch at school.

Thank you to our wonderful PTO for a great breakfast this week!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Standard Response Protocol

Next week our students will practice our emergency procedures.  Classroom teachers will provide instruction on the different emergency protocols and students will practice each of them.  The SRP protocols are used by metro schools and local law enforcement.  Millard Public Schools has utilized these protocols for several years now.
