We offer several vocal music ensemble opportunities at Russell Middle School, including curricular choirs (split by grade), two show choirs, an a cappella ensemble, and a musical. The mission of the Russell Middle School vocal music program is to provide positive musical experiences in both ensemble and solo performance settings, and to equip students to become lifelong musicians. Students will develop healthy tone, breathing habits, part-singing skills, and better personal awareness of their singing through their voice change. In addition to this, we place high priority on developing other musicianship skills, such as ear training and reading sheet music.
