Boosterthon Fun Run
Thank you to everyone that contributed to the PTO’s fundraiser this year. The PTO’s profits are over $21,000. The money raised goes towards providing our students with enrichment activities throughout the year. We are also planning on upgrading the sound system used for school programs and assemblies.
Your child will be taking curriculum related field trips this year. Since the trip is part of the curriculum state law prohibits schools from “requiring” parents to pay a fee related to the cost of the field trip. Schools are permitted to ask for a “donation” to help offset the cost of field trips. When we take a field trip the cost of two school buses is approximately $400, and we also have the additional cost of the admission to the destination. If you are financially able to make a donation to cover the cost of your child’s field trip it will allow our limited school funds to go further.

A group of eighth graders from Kiewit Middle School is starting a
Homework Help Program
For 4th through 8th Grade Students at the
Millard Branch Library
Starting Saturday, October 6th, 3-5 p.m. in the Teen Area.
If the first session goes well, this service will be available every Saturday through November 17th,
then resuming after winter break on January 5th. Help is offered for math through the Algebra II level, as well as English, Science and more.
