Picture Day: Picture Day is Tuesday, September 19th. Every student will get their picture taken regardless if they are purchasing a picture or not. There will be no paper forms sent home.
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Conferences are coming up! We will do all of our conferences in-person. We will be having conferences on Tuesday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday, October 11th from 4:00-8:00 pm. Our conference preference letters will be coming home on Friday, September 22nd, so be looking for the form!
Health Screening:
Annually, health screenings are done for students in elementary school. The following screenings will be done over the next few months on all students Kindergarten through fourth grade that do not have current health physicals on file: hearing, distance vision, near vision, dental screening, height and weight. Students needing further evaluation for vision, hearing, or dental will have a referral letter sent home. Please contact the Health Office at 402-715-2020 if you have any questions or concerns.

Volunteer Opportunities
LUNCHROOM
Parent volunteers are encouraged to help throughout the year during lunch periods (11:10am-12:30pm) or for as long as you are able during that time slot. Volunteers help students open their food, wipe down tables, clean up spills and assist our custodian. You can volunteer as often as you like via our Sign Up Genius link:

WALKING CLUB
Parent volunteers Volunteers can enter the building just prior to 7:55 and sign in at the front office. They will then go to their volunteer assignment if helping with the front door or hallway. Please do not attempt to enter the building prior to 7:50.

Looking to volunteer?! All links to volunteer for walking club, lunch room, media center and outdoor decorations are in the newsletter so look out for those opportunities!
Lunch room and media center volunteers. For lunch, volunteers are welcome to come for the entire shift or for as much as your schedule allows. We’re just thankful to have volunteers at the school!
Walking club
Creating, removing or putting up outdoor decorations. This can be a family volunteer opportunity! Kids and spouses welcome!

PTO Luncheon hosted by 5th grade September 27th. Please remember to check your email for details. Instead of having everyone donate food items, we will be collecting money to cover the cost of the catered lunch. You can either Venmo donations to: @Dallas-Jurisevic (3754) or send cash to school in an envelope labeled 5th Grade Staff Luncheon.
