All Star Staff Member of the Month
This weeks All Star Staff Member is Cathy Hall!
Mrs. Hall was nominated by Ally Heineman. She writes, “Cathy has always been a warm welcoming face at Aldrich. Each encounter I have with her leaves my day a little brighter. I look forward to seeing her carrying around her toast and boiled egg each morning. I have had the privilege of observing Cathy several times. Cathy is just one of those teachers who makes learning fun. She is always coming up with creative ways to teach. Cathy also genuinely cares about her students. She's always there to lend a listening ear or offer extra help when someone is struggling. Long story short, Cathy is the bomb. She's not just a great teacher, she's a great person too. She absolutely deserves to be recognized for all her hard work and dedication. Cathy, you are the best!!!”
Thank you for making Aldrich a better place to learn and work!
Attention Parents!
The lost and found tables are overflowing with items once again. Please encourage your student to check the tables outside of the office for any misplaced items! Anything not picked up before the end of the school year will be donated. Thank you!
Don't Forget!
Parents,
Please remember to pick up any medications that you have at school for your child by noon on the last day of school, Thursday, May 23rd. All medications that are left after the last day, including inhalers, Epi Pens and prescriptions, will be disposed of by the health room staff. We are not able to send medications home with your child. We are not allowed to hold medications for you for next school year. We get to start all over in August! Have a wonderful summer!

Hello All Star Families,
Thank you to all who made Olympic Day and 5th Grade Farewell such a success! We are thankful for all the volunteers and families who came out to support these great school events as a community together. As a parent of a 5th grader myself, it’s a bitter sweet milestone sending these amazing kids off. 5th grade students and families, please know you are always welcome at Aldrich. We wish you the best in your journey to middle school!
Looking forward to next school year, I am pleased to announce that our Color Run was such a success, we were able to accomplish our goal of adding 6 picnic tables (a $25,000 purchase) to create an outdoor classroom! These tables will go to great use going into next school year and moving forward. We also have enough Color Run donations left over to simplify our Aldrich family donations requests for the ‘24-‘25 school year to 2 major school fundraisers, Carnival in the Fall and Color Run in the Spring.
Closing our last full week of school, it brings the bitter sweet opportunity to thank Dr. Penke for all she has done for Aldrich and wish her the best in her next role. Dr. Penke, you raised the bar, earning the Blue Ribbon award this year for Aldrich and we are beyond thankful for your impact on our students, staff and families. You will be greatly missed and are leaving some large shoes to fill. We wish you success and happiness in your next chapter! With this difficult goodbye, we welcome Mrs. Dayna Burke with open arms and look forward to kicking off an amazing ‘24-‘25 school year with our new principal and fearless leader.
Signing off, it has been such a pleasure working with all our incredible committee chairs, staff and parents as your PTO President. I feel thankful to be part of a school with so much family involvement and generosity. I look forward to leading the Classroom Liaisons next school year and passing on the PTO President torch to Amanda Hall.
Have an amazing summer All Stars!
