Thank You!
Thank you to the PTO and all of the volunteers for providing dinner to our staff during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Also thank you to everyone who attended Parent/Teacher Conferences. We had a 99% turnout!
Thank you for all of your support during our Book Fair. Thank you to Mrs. Svacina and all of our volunteers who helped make the Book Fair a success!
Staff Changes for 2024-25 School Year:
We have some staff changes to announce for next year. Senorita Chavez Jurado, our Spanish teacher, will be leaving at the end of the school year. Mrs. Stahmer, one of our 5th grade teachers, will be leaving at the end of the school year. Dr. Penke, our principal, will be taking a new job in Human Resources in Millard at the end of the school year. We will be working on hiring in the next few weeks.
Human Growth and Development Parent Night: All fifth grade parents are welcome to attend our Human Growth and Development Presentation on Tuesday, April 2nd from 5-6pm. Come check out the curriculum and videos so you know what your child will be learning.

Marsha Edquist was nominated by Brandon Hughes. He writes, “Marsha helps make Aldrich a great school and place to work. She is a kind and great person to talk to and be around. You can tell she loves her job as a teacher. Thank you for making Aldrich a great school!”
Jackie Bergmann was nominated by Bethany Rands. She shares, “Jackie is such an important part of our Aldrich staff. She is flexible, knowledgeable and seems to juggle all of the different library responsibilities easily. She has a great relationship with students and students know that she will help them with any question, whether that is finding a book or fixing something with their iPad. We are lucky to have Jackie at Aldrich!”

Color Run Information
The Color Run will be held on Friday, April 19th at 3pm. Please see the attached flyer for more information on the fundraising and incentives for this year's event!
Volunteer Opportunities
LUNCHROOM
Parent volunteers are encouraged to help throughout the year during lunch periods (11:10am-12:30pm) or for as long as you are able during that time slot. Volunteers help students open their food, wipe down tables, clean up spills and assist our custodian. You can volunteer as often as you like via our Sign Up Genius link:

WALKING CLUB
Parent volunteers Volunteers can enter the building just prior to 7:55 and sign in at the front office. They will then go to their volunteer assignment if helping with the front door or hallway. Please do not attempt to enter the building prior to 7:50.

Hello All Star Families,
I hope everyone had a nice extended weekend and short school week this week! If you’re available, please attend this Tuesday’s PTO meeting when we will be covering some important PTO items:
We will present the 2024/2025 Aldrich PTO board slate.
Vote on the updated PTO By-laws and Standing Rules (click to access).
Discuss the remainder of the year’s major activities such as the new and improved Color Run with kickoff April 1st (details provided in this week’s newsletter in the Color Run Flyer), Olympic Day, and 5th Grade Farewell.
Our new Principal, Mrs. Dayna Burke, will be in attendance to meet the PTO and be part of the meeting.

Donations and volunteers needed for 1st grade hosts for the staff luncheon April 3rd. Please keep an eye out for an email for more information on how to donate/volunteer.
Looking for 5th grade Farewell volunteers. If you have a 5th grader and are interested in volunteering and/or donating items for the 5th Grade Farewell on May 16th, please email aldrichptopresident@outlook.com. More information regarding what the day will look like, Q&A and 5th grade yearbook picture submission will be sent home in Friday Folders today.
For 2024/2025 school year, we are also looking for a Restaurant Fundraiser Chair, an International Banquet Chair, Girls on the Run Co-Chair and Outdoor Decorations Co-Chair. If interested, please email aldrichptopresident@outlook.com.
