International Festival
Thank you to the PTO, the International Festival Committee, and Huda Ahmed for a wonderful event! Thank you to everyone who shared and participated! What a fun event!
New Kindergarteners
Do you live in the Aldrich attendance area and have a child starting Kindergarten in 2024-2025? Or do you know anyone else that does? Please view this document, and fill out the necessary forms listed on it to help us begin to gather information.
Weather:
Living in Nebraska, we know that the weather can dramatically change throughout the day. Please send the appropriate attire with your children every day to go outside for recess: a coat, hat, and gloves. We will go outside for recess every day as long as the temperature with wind chill is 10 degrees or above.
Attendance Reminder:
When your child(ren) is absent, please let Ms. Allen as well as the teacher know of the absence. It would be helpful if you could email the teacher and Ms. Allen at laallen@mpsomaha.org. You can also call the office at 402-715-2020. Thank you for your communication!
Inclement Weather:
We know that the weather changes quickly around here. We live in Nebraska! Here is the District link for the Inclement Weather information.
Have a great weekend!

All Star Staff Members of the Month
This weeks All Star Staff Member is Mr. Struck! Brett Struck was nominated by Jaci Henderson. She shares, “Brett is such an asset to Aldrich! He is a welcoming face every morning and is constantly checking in on staff and students to help them in any way that he can. Brett is always available to discuss topics for us to support students to the best of our ability. He has so much knowledge and is always willing to share and teach. We are grateful to have Brett on our team at Aldrich!”
Thank you for making Aldrich a better place to learn and work!
K-2nd Grade Author Visit
Please see the attached flyer for more information regarding our upcoming author visit! Although the visit is for K-2nd grade students only, signed books can be purchased by any student or family member.
Pick-up Change Notifications
We understand that emergencies come up and last minute plans need to be made for school pick-ups at times, but please make sure that the last minute calls to the office for pick-up changes are for emergencies only. It is difficult to get messages to the teacher last minute and causes confusion for everyone. If your student is going home with another parent or going home with a friend, please make sure arrangements are made and the teacher is notified prior to the start of the school day.

Hello All Star Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and Happy Thanksgiving! A special thank you to all who volunteered, donated items and attended our International Festival yesterday. It was a fun night celebrating our community that makes Aldrich so special and unique!
Interested in volunteering?! Check out for the following PTO volunteer opportunities:
We are not getting many lunchroom or media center volunteers so would love to see more volunteers. In the lunchroom, you can volunteer for the entire timeframe or whatever time you have available!. The link to volunteer is in the newsletter above.
The winter outdoor decorations are almost ready to be hung up. Please check the Aldrich Facebook page for a link to volunteer to help with assembly and putting them up. This is a great way for the whole family to help. The more volunteers the better in making our school shine from the street!
