Message from Dr. Penke

No School:

Reminder that there is no school on November 6th. There will also be no school on November 22nd-24th.

We need your help with Arrival and Dismissal:

School begins at 8:30am.  Students are tardy if they arrive at that time.  The doors open at 8:15am. Students who come in late not only feel rushed but also disrupt the learning of others when they come to school late.  Please help establish a good morning routine to get to school on time.

School ends at 3:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. School ends at 2:30pm on Wednesday.  Please arrive on time to pick up your child(ren). Our staff have meetings and other duties to take care of after school.

Cold Weather Reminders and Recess:

Coats, hats, and mittens will be needed most mornings for Walking Club and recess. It is helpful if you label your child’s outerwear.  We can easily return items to your child if there is a name on the tag! All unclaimed lost and found items will be donated over the winter break.  We will do our best to go out for recess every day as long as it is not raining, snowing, and the temperature with wind chill is above 10 degrees.  We use the weather.gov website to check the temperature with wind chill.

Inclement Weather:

We know that the weather changes quickly around here.  We live in Nebraska! Here is the District link for the Inclement Weather information.

Have a great weekend!

All Star Staff Members of the Month

This weeks All Star Staff Member is Annie Stahmer! Mrs. Stahmer was nominated by Summer Hospodka.  She writes, “ Annie is just truly an amazing individual and has welcomed me to Aldrich with open arms. She is helpful, kind, and so sweet. She is genuinely such a positive soul and her relationship with her students is inspirational. Aldrich is better by having a teacher like her. We are truly blessed to have Annie at Aldrich.

Thank you for making Aldrich a better place to learn and work!
