Skylar Vander Jagt
Speech Language Pathologist

Hi! I'm Skylar Vander Jagt . I graduated from Grandville High School. I attended GVSU for my Bachelor of Science and graduated from Calvin with my Masters of Arts.  

I am a recent Master’s graduate in Speech-Language Pathology with clinical experience in public schools and pediatric therapy settings. My experience includes working with children with a variety of speech, language, AAC, and feeding needs. I am excited to begin my career as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist and join the MPS community! 

I am looking forward to becoming part of the Muskegon Public Schools community and building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff. I am especially excited to collaborate with others to support students’ communication and learning while growing as a Speech-Language Pathologist. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and making the most of my time in West Michigan. I love being outdoors, hiking/camping, gardening, and spending time with the people and pets I love. I also enjoy reading and finding new hobbies to explore! 

A fun fact about me is that I’ve made it a tradition to donate about a foot of my hair each year. It’s something small I can do that has a meaningful impact on someone else!
