Hi! I'm Ms. Wilson. I graduated from Muskegon High School (Go Big Reds!) and attended Baker College. I have worked in the behavioral and mental health field for the past nine years, gaining experience in both intensive treatment settings serving adult males and within Community Mental Health. 

My passion has been working directly with people, advocating for their needs, and helping individuals overcome barriers so they can thrive and reach their full potential. As I reflect on my professional journey, I am interested in transitioning into the education field so I can work more proactively with children and adolescents. My goal is to get on the front end of challenges by supporting young people earlier in their development and helping them build the skills, confidence, and support systems they need to succeed. 

I want to show up for students who may not have always had someone in their corner, while helping bridge the gaps that can sometimes prevent them from reaching their full potential. Most importantly, I want to help students recognize and embrace their differences, build confidence in who they are, and understand that those differences are what make them unique and valuable. 

I am a proud mother of two, Xavier and Eryn. Xavier is very athletic, and I enjoy supporting him in all of his activities and events. He is also an avid reader like me, so one of our favorite things to do is have our own Barnes & Noble dates. Eryn is a fun mix of everything—she loves dressing up and being girly, but she also loves to play rough, climb, flip, and get dirty. I encourage her to embrace all of those sides of herself.

Most of my free time is spent simply allowing my children to experience life and be themselves. We enjoy going to the park, movies, bowling, water parks, and finding new things to explore together. For me, the best hobby is creating memories with my children and giving them the freedom to learn, play, explore, and enjoy being kids. 

Fun fact about me: I love music! I’m almost always working a song reference into the middle of a conversation somehow. I love musicals, sing-alongs, and pretty much anything music-related. I may not have the best singing voice, lol, but that definitely won’t stop me from singing! Just don’t pass me the mic… because I will use it!
