Samantha brings more than 14 years of experience as a special education teacher, having served students in the Lansing, Detroit, and Cleveland areas. She earned her bachelor's degree in K–12 Special Education and K–5 Elementary Education from Central Michigan University and her master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University.

Having visited Muskegon for many years, Samantha has enjoyed exploring the area's vibrant downtown, hiking local trails, and spending time with extended family. She, her husband, and their two young children are excited to relocate to the community and make Muskegon their new home.
