Mr. Peot
Health Sciences Instructor
Health & Human Services (HHS) Academy
Mr. John Peot has been in EMS for 27 years, 20 of those as a licensed paramedic and 10 as a licensed paramedic instructor. He is excited to bring that same commitment, compassion, and teamwork to his new role in education. He is also looking forward to new friendships with staff, brining the brand new Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program to MHS as a Health Sciences instructor, the excitement of the newness of the role he will be in, and the newness of learning the culture, community, students, families and staff.
John is a proud father of two adult children who have both pursued higher education while competing in collegiate athletics. Mr. Peot has been in a gym with both of his children for the better part of 17 years. He loves watching them grow on and off the court. He is also a MHSAA soccer official and has coached boy's/girl's soccer as well as freshman/JV boys basketball.
John is an only child, raised by a single mom who passed his junior year of HS at which time his grandmother brought him up through young adulthood. Despite the difficulties, those difficulties (as well as other personal ones) have molded him into the strong person he is today.
Mr. John Peot graduated from Rogers High School in Wyoming (now Wyoming High School) and completed general studies at Grand Rapids Community College. He likes being outside doing yard work (mowing/trimming) and also lounging in a pool.
