World Languages at Lincoln High School
Students can begin learning French and Spanish in middle school and continue with their studies of these languages throughout high school. Students can begin learning German in high school.
French 1-6, German 1-4, Spanish 1-6, and Spanish Language: Advanced Communication are courses available for students to take at Lincoln High School.
NEW course for 2024-2025
Spanish Language: Advanced Communication (1 semester, 0.5 credit)
Spanish Language: Advanced Communication is for students who are interested in developing confidence in their Spanish speaking and presentational skills. Students who wish to speak Spanish in a current job, future career or just for personal enjoyment are encouraged to enroll in this course. Students will build on their vocabulary and grammar and further develop skills for extending conversations, leading group discussions, debating various topics, and discussing current events as well as participating in public speaking and interviews. Students will interpret various forms of media in Spanish from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries. The class will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
Pre-requisite: Spanish 3 or higher OR comparable Spanish language experience with instructor approval.
This course is also be recommended for native or heritage Spanish speakers.
