School Counseling
Bear Exploration Center facilitates students' creativity and critical thinking skills through a collaborative approach to STEAM learning.
Projects
Objective: Students will know Teamwork and be able to Cooperate and Communication effectively.
Directions: Students can work as a team to try to find one thing that matches each descriptor. Write the name of each item or draw a picture of the item in the square as you find it!
Guidelines: Describe any instructional supports resources used to complete the activity. Choose the Nature Scavenger Hunt List most appropriate for your students. Students should collect the actual items or check off each item or draw a picture of each item as it is found. Divide the students into small groups (about four students per group). Give each group of students A Scavenger Hunt List, a clipboard, a pen or pencil. Have the student groups work together to find every item on the list. Tell the students to collect or check off or name or draw a picture of each item on the list. Encourage the students to listen carefully to their teammates and solve their disagreements peacefully. For older students, the activity can be a timed race.
