Hello Families! ¡Hola familias! Salaan waalidiin!
My name is Heather Wittstruck-Egtvedt (Mrs. Wittstruck or Mrs. W.). This is my 21st year teaching, but 5th year at Folwell. I’ve taught many grades and disciplines.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with Art Minor from Morningside College, a Master of Science in Education with an Emphasis of Reading and Literacy from Walden University, Certification in Gifted and Talented Education from St. Mary’s University and graduate coursework from Minnesota State University Mankato.
I love spending time with my husband Paul, son Bjorn (10) and boxer pitbull Bella (11). I love kids and animals! I enjoy being with friends and family, sitting on my balcony with my dog, cooking, watching Tottenham Hotspurs soccer, going to local festivals and farmer’s markets, playing Legos and creating art with my son. I am an artist and have participated in several community and individual art shows. I plan to use my creativity to integrate art into the classroom. I live in Minneapolis and am proud to be a MPS employee and parent of a MPS student.

Hola familias!
Mi nombre es Heather Wittstruck-Egtvedt (Sra. Wittstruck o Sra. W.). Este es mi 21º año enseñando, pero el 5º año en Folwell. He enseñado muchos grados y disciplinas. Vivo en Minneapolis y estoy orgullosa de ser empleada de MPS y padre de un estudiante de MPS.
Tengo una Bachillerato en Ciencias en Educación con un Grado Menor en Arte de Morningside College, una Maestría en Ciencias en Educación con énfasis en Lectura y Alfabetización de la Universidad Walden, una Certificación en Educación para Dotados y Talentosos de la Universidad de St. Mary y cursos de posgrado de la Universidad Estatal de Minnesota, Mankato.
Me encanta pasar tiempo con mi esposo, Paul, mi hijo, Bjorn (8) y mi boxer pitbull, Bella (10). ¡Amo los animales! Disfruto de estar con amigos y familiares, sentarme en mi balcón con mi perro, cocinar, asistir a festivales y ferias locales, mercados de granjeros, jugar con Legos y crear arte con mi hijo. Soy una artista y yo he participado en varias exposiciones de arte comunitarias e individuales. Planeo usar mi creatividad para integrar el arte en el aula. Vivo en Minneapolis y estoy orgullosa de ser empleada de MPS y madre de un estudiante de MPS.
Creo que podemos trabajar en equipo para que el año de su estudiante sea exitoso.
