Third Grade

Welcome to third grade and our new classroom. My name is Debbie Bushnell and I have been teaching for the past 20 years. Some of the children may of had me as their Kindergarten teacher and I am super excited to have the privilege of being their teacher again, for those of you who I have not taught before, I am equally honored to teach and I know that we will have a year of learning and growing together.

I have a B.A. in Intercultural Child Development and a Masters from Pepperdine University in Elementary Education. I was born in El Salvador but I grew up in California. My husband and I have now lived in Minnesota for the past 15 years. We have two beautiful children, Hannah who is 11 and Edward who is 9. Hannah is in fifth grade and Edward has begun third grade. Our family loves animals, we have 2 dogs and two cats (our cat Cali runs the show!). My favorite color is turquoise and my favorite candy is Red-Vines. As a family we enjoy biking, hiking, going to the movies and traveling. I enjoy getting together with friends, drinking coffee and crafting. My favorite series of books are the Harry Potter novels. This summer we went to Estes Park, Tetons National Park, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore and The Badlands! It was a long trip, and we had a great time.
