Library staff have created instructional videos on library services in a series called "Databasics." The six videos can be found on our YouTube channel here. 

• Online Catalog 101 shows how to perform a basic search, determine the availability of an item, as well as how to get the best results by using various filters on Hennepin County Library’s online catalog.

• Databases vs. Websites introduces two types of information resources: databases and websites. Learn the difference between the two resources and when it is best to use one instead of the other.

• HelpNow Online Tutoring shows students how to access free online tutors with their library card.

• Finding Databases shows how to use a database available on the Hennepin County Library website. The video also defines what a database is and describes common things you might see in a database.

• Navigating a Database for Elementary Schoolers and Navigating a Database for High Schoolers show how to use a database available on the Hennepin County Library website.
