Speech & Language

@ Seward

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Hello and thanks for stopping by! It is truly an honor to be here at Seward, helping students learn to communicate more clearly. As a speech-language pathologist (SLP), I get to work with students who have a wide range of communication needs. This includes helping students articulate specific speech sounds; teaching stuttering management and fluency-enhancing techniques to kids who stutter; facilitating social communication skills in students with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities; and improving kids' abilities to use and understand language to communicate more effectively with others and achieve success with language-based schoolwork. Every student I work with has a unique set of needs and circumstances and I love creating custom lessons for each student or small group that are accessible, enjoyable, and maximally effective.

Besides speech therapy, my other interests include hiking, paddling, improv, and traveling! I am an enthusiastic alumna of Lawrence University in Appleton, WI (where I majored in Linguistics), and graduate of the University of Minnesota's master's program in Speech-Language Pathology.
