First Grade Teacher
Sadie Cox
Dear Folwell Families,
My name is Sadie Cox; I am very excited to be your child’s first grade teacher. I love teaching, and am looking forward to a great year together. This is my second year teaching. I previously taught Kindergarten and third grade in St Paul Public Schools. I also worked as a behavior specialist and reading tutor in St Paul Public Schools. I look forward to creating meaningful memories with your students this year.
I grew up in Chicago and am a proud graduate of Chicago Public Schools! My elementary school was very similar to Folwell. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and am currently working towards my Masters in Elementary Education at Hamline University. Outside of work I enjoy: hanging out with friends and family, hiking, relaxing and traveling.
I believe that parents and families are an incredible asset to each child’s education. You are the experts on your child. Having strong communication with parents and families is important to me. Mi nombre es Sadie Cox. Estoy muy emocionada de ser la maestra de primer grado de su hijo/a. Me encanta enseñar y espero tener un gran año juntos. Este es mi segundo año de enseñar. Anteriormente, enseñé Kindergarten y tercer grado en las Escuelas Públicas de St Paul. También trabajé como especialista en comportamiento y tutor de lectura en las Escuelas Públicas de St Paul. Espero crear recuerdos inolvidables con sus estudiantes este año.
¡Crecí en Chicago y soy una graduada orgullosa de las Escuelas Públicas de Chicago! Mi escuela primaria era muy parecida a Folwell. Obtuve mi licenciatura de Macalester College y actualmente estoy trabajando para obtener mi Maestría en Educación Primaria en la Universidad de Hamline. Aparte del trabajo, disfruto: salir con amigos y familiares, ir de excursión, relajar y viajar.
Creo que los padres y las familias son un papel muy importante para la educación de cada niño/a. Ustedes son los expertos en lo que es su hijo/a. El hecho de tener una fuerte comunicación con los padres y las familias es muy importante para mí.
