Hello and welcome! First graders are my favorite people in the world because of the natural enthusiasm and energy they bring to everything they do. The personal and academic growth that six-year-olds experience in one school year is unbelievable. It is such a privilege to be able to call this daily adventure my job! I truly can never imagine myself doing anything else as a career. 

I began teaching at LHCS in 2013 and now treasure my permanent place as a member of this community. As a Madison native (go Badgers!) and St. Olaf grad, I have a Master's of Education rooted in my passion for PLAY as an integral and non-negotiable part of the classroom and childhood experience. Children learn best from those around them who they hold in community, both peers and adults alike.  As their teacher, it's my job to ensure that every child feels valued, seen, heard, and accepted in our classroom.
